Back to School with The Stamping Boutique

It is that time again! Where did the summer go? I really hope that they postpone school for at least another week. This heat is unbelievable. Here in Tulsa, OK, our temperature at 10 p.m. last night was 89ยบ. That is almost unbearable. The AC definitely stayed on.

The Stamping Boutique Design Team is having a blog hop today. The theme is Back to School. Please visit each team member’s blog, leave a comment on each one, and there will be a random drawing for a surprise giveaway. (At the time of this posting the giveaway has not been announced, but I am sure it will be well worth your time. Anyway, there’s plenty of inspiration!)

I am the first on the list, so without further ado…here is my contribution. The images that I used are Back to School Audrey and Back to School Apple.

This project was so much fun to create! Because these images are digital, I could make them any size I wanted. Therefore I enlarged the apple and printed it out twice on SU’s real red and always artichoke cardstock, reduced to fit for the inside and printed it out on white cardstock. Cut everything out and paper pieced all images. Audrey was printed on white and sized to fit on the front of the card. I also colored her with my wonderful Copics.

The Copics I used are:
Skin: E000, 11, RV20;
Apron, knickers, shoes, scarf: YG21, 25, 67;
Dress, socks, pocket on apron: RV09, 10;
Apple and hearts: R22, 27;
Lunch sack, ruler, pencils: E31, 35;
Spics pens: sand, black, lipstick, olive, blossom;
Other pens: white gel and Sharpie poster paint extra fine point.
