Tooty Fruity – GHWI Challenge No. 3

Happy Tuesday!

First things first:
We have appreciated all the entries that we have had in the young life of the GHWI Challenge Blog, but me and my Design Team have decided to change a few things around, and did not want you all to lose us in this growing process. I and the DT will be using the blog as an intruduction, with inspiration, for the monthly challenge only. (We do like followers!) Our Get Hippity with Ippity challenges will now be on Simply Scrapping Crafts in the Get Hippity with Ippity Group. I hope you join us at SSC. This is a really fun online group. I think you will find something to satisfy that creative urge!

Now, are you ready for Get Hippity with Ippity Challenge #3? Well...the theme is Tooty Fruity. We want to see all things with fruit. Do you create ATCs, cards, layouts, collage, wood, metal, etc? We want to see it all, but you MUST use fruit somewhere on your creation. You can enter once for your chance to win a stamp set of your choice from my Ippity Sales Blog. If you use an Ippity and/or Unity stamp, you will be entered in the drawing twice. This challenge will end on June 30. All the information and instructions are posted in the discussion forum of the group. You will be able to enter this challenge after joining.

On to my project…
This was definitely “out-of-the-box” for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the creative process this project offered. Someone mentioned that Ippity and Unity stamps helped them get “out-of-the-box.” They are right! I felt like I was getting back into collage work. I may even use this as the main image in a new collage or a shadow box. I used an oversized tag for the base. I have had these tags for forever in my stash. (Wonder what else I can find in my stash. LOL!)

I also used three stamp sets for my little piece of art. The background stamp, Distressed Dots, is from Unity. I have also used two sets from my Ippity Line. (Yep, I am a “Unity Endorsed Ippity Chick! I am also the only one in Oklahoma!) My main images, the apple and the sentiment are from the NEW RELEASE New Season, New Wonder set. On the sentiment I stamped the curly-q stamp from the Now and Always set. The Now and Always set is very popular. I have trouble keeping them in stock.

Other supplies I used:
Copics: r20, 29, 89; g99; w1, 5.
Inks: Memento in Tuxedo Black and Rhubarb Stalk; Vivid in Taupe.
Glimmer Mists: Sweet Clover, Bubbles, and Juniper.
Dies: Spellbinders Deckled Rectangles and Marianne Creatables.
Designer Paper: Memory Box-Valise
Cardstock: SU Kraft, Cryogen Iridescent 80#
Other: Lace from my stash, Viva Décor Pearl Pen in Ice White.

Challenges:
The All New Ippity Challenge – Anything but a card (I’m not entering, just posting, because I am a Unity Endorsed Ippity Chick from Oklahoma!)
Unity Stamp Co. Challenge – Tooty Fruity (I am entering this! I want to win 100 stamps! Like I need them!)
Through the Craft Room Door – Paper Piecing (My apple leaves.)
Dream Valley Challenges – Stamp something
One Stop Craft – Texture
PaperCrafting Journey – Anything goes

Remember to join us at GHWI over at SSC for your chance to win a stamp set of your choice from my Ippity Sales Blog. There's going to be more inspiration over at the GHWI Design Team blog.

If you have any questions, or need more details, just contact me.

Thanks for stopping by!

Renaissance Gilli with Flowers

Happy Friday, everyone!

It’s my turn for the House of Gilli Challenge #8. For this challenge you are to “use flowers.” Well…I think you can say that I did use flowers. LOL!

I received my Renaissance Gilli from StampingScrapping.com a few weeks ago. Isn’t she stunning? I love the way the creator of Gilli, anaRy, has drawn her. Her gown looks like it floats.

The DP that I used is from DCWV: Mariposa stack, and Recollections: Glorious Gardens. I lucked out on finding this paper in my stash. I usually find papers I like and color my image accordingly, but this time around I did the opposite. My CS is SU Really Rust and of course, Cryogen 80# Iridescent for the Copic marker coloring.

Other details for my Renaissance Gilli with Flowers:
The Copics I used: dress-b63, 66, 79, and yr02, 04, 21; hair-yr00 and e15, 18; skin- e000, 11, and r20; background-w1, 3, 5, with touches of b63, yr00, and e15.
Inks: Memento in Tuxedo Black and Distress in Chipped Sapphire.
Pens: Spica in Orange; Gelly Roll in Clear Star.
Lace and flowers: from my stash.
Glimmer Mists for the flowers: Flower Power and Delphinium. (Love those Glimmer Mists!)
Stickles I spread on the flowers: Frosted Lace.

The challenges that I have entered are:
The Crafty Purple Frog – Anything of beauty (Gilli is definately a Beauty)
Cute Card Thursday – Embellish the main image (used Spica Pens and Gelly Roll pens)
Paper Crafting Journey – Anything Goes
Stamp Insanity – Anything Goes

I hope you join us for the House of Gilli Challenge #8.

Thanks for looking and I hope to see your creation soon!

Challenge #2 at Paper Creations Ink

I hope everyone had a fantastic and safe Memorial Day weekend. We did a lot of well deserved relaxing, so it was great for me and my hubby.

Welcome to Challenge #2 over at Paper Creations Ink (PCI) Challenge Blog. We are challenging you to a Ribbon and/or Lace creation. You can enter as many times as you want and we welcome all paper creations, whether it’s in the form of a card, scrapbook layout, collage, etc. Paper does have to be involved.

Once you have created your project, and you are ready to post, please read all of PCI’s Challenge Guidelines.

PCI’s Challenge #2 is being sponsored by The Stamping Boutique. And the prize is three (3) images from the imagination of Tracy Malnofski of The Stamping Boutique.

Here is my creation as a part of PCI’s Design Team. I created a card using “Marilyn Monroe with Quote.”

This blog post is two-fold also. Marilyn is also an inspiration piece over at The Stamping Boutique (TSB) on Simply Scrapping Crafts (SSC). We are on our third challenge and that prize is for two (2) images of your choice from The Stamping Boutique. You do not have to use an image from TSB, but if you do, you are entered in the drawing twice. SSC is a happening place to be right now. Come on over and join Stamping Scrapping Crafts and then join our TSB group. Are you a member of SSC? Well then, come on over and join in TSB’s group fun.

What if you won both these challenges? That would be five (5) images of your choice from The Stamping Boutique. What a haul!

I have also entered these challenges:
Card Cupids Blog – lace and/or fibers
Bunny Zoe’s Crafts – lace
KB Cute Monday – anything goes
2 Sisters Challenge Blog – anything goes

Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you have any questions, or you need all the details of my project, do not hesitate contacting me.

Have a great week!
Aletha

P.S. Go check out PCI's website too!
