Some {ippity} Love and Things to Come

Happy Friday to everyone! The weekend is here! I hope that those of you with school children had smooth and uneventful first days.

I wanted to share a project that Melissa, one of my DT members, created. She used the {ippity} set, Loads of Love. This set was designed by Tracey Malnofski, owner and artist of The Stamping Boutique, and also an “Artista” for Unity Stamp Co.

Over at The Crafter’s Café in the Get Hippity with {ippity} group, Challenge #4’s Color Combo is still going on. You still have a few days to get your entry in. The prize is an {ippity} stamp set of your choice from my {ippity} Sales Blog.

Beginning in September we, me and my GHWI Design Team, are opening up our blog to two monthly challenges. Each will begin on the first and third Mondays of the month. Our very first one, on Sept. 5, is a sketch challenge. One of the privileges of being a Get Hippity with {ippity} group member is you will get a sneak peak, two weeks in advance, of the next challenge! You will also get a sneak peak of creations made with the next {ippity} stamp set release. Come on over and join us. We are a group of very talented and fun loving crafters.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my rambles. Have a great weekend!

{ippity} and The Stamping Boutique

Welcome to the last day of the weekend! I finally got a little studio time the past two days (a little each day). When that happens, I count my blessings. I am finding out that running an online business means a lot of computer time. No complaints, really. I am totally enjoying selling the {ippity} brand and I am making new friends everyday.

For my project I have combined a digi stamp and a rubber stamp. I’m so happy when I can combine the two. These two images complimented each other completely. The digi is from The Stamping Boutique, titled Flowers-1. The {ippity} stamp set that I used is from the set “thankful for YOU.” The dragonflies fit perfect with Tracey’s illustration.

I colored the flower image with my Copics. The dragonflies stamp is stamped with SU Basic Black Craft ink and then embossed with opalescent powder. I have used the circles dies from Spellbinders and the Italian Flourish Doily from Cheery Lynn Designs.

The challenges that I am entering are:
All things Unity #38 – Anything goes
Pattie’s Creations Challenge #28 – Animals or insects

I also wanted to invited you all to our Get Hippity with {ippity} (GHWI) group at The Crafter’s Café. This little group is where we learn all about {ippity} and Unity stamps, new releases, and challenges. On September 5 we are opening up the DT’s blog as the place for challenges. If you join our GHWI group, you will learn about the challenges two weeks in advance. Please come by and check things out. I think you’ll like it there.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate contacting me.

Music of My Heart

Happy Friday, everyone! The summer is almost over and school has started. Boy the time does fly by.

Today, I want to share a project that Rhonda, our new GHWI Design Team member, created today using the Music of My Heart {ippity} stamp set. For all the details, check out Rhonda’s blog, Rhonda’s Place to Share, and leave her some love.

Challenge #4 is still going on over at Get Hippity with{ippity} group at The Crafter’s Café. It’s a “color combo” and you can use any image of your choosing. Challenge #4 will end on August 31, so you still have plenty of time.

On September 5, Challenge #5 will be taking place at the Get Hippity with{ippity}Challenge Blog. This will be a sketch challenge and will run until September 17. Now if you want a head start on this and future challenges, come on over and join our little group of artists at The Crafter’s Cafe. Besides having a two week jump start for all the challenges, you would be joining a good group of talented artists. There is a lot of inspiration at The Crafter’s Café.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Another post for Monday!

I am on a roll for blogging and for a Monday! LOL

I wanted to share my little project using the {ippity} stamp set The Simple Things. I am participating in two art festivals this fall and I thought I would get started on some clean and simple designs. These sale the best, especially if I sale them as a set.

The image was stamped with VersaMark ink on Cryogen 80# and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then used a sponge to add the Distress Inks in Peeled Pain and Worn Lipstick. The DP is from BasicGrey’s collection of “hello luscious.” The black pearls were added with a Viva Décor Pearl Pen (I love these pearl pens!).

I also wanted to share the links for two Get Hippity with Ippity groups. The first one is on The Crafter’s Café, (formerly The Latte Lounge) Get Hippity with Ippity/Join the Unity Community. The second is a GHWI Yahoo group. We will welcome you with open arms to both groups. At The Crafter's Cafe, we are having GHWI Challenge #4, which is a color combo.

In September we are opening up the Design Team blog as our Get Hippity with Ippity Challenge (GHWI) Blog. We will be having two challenges per month. They are scheduled for the first and third Mondays of each month. If you join one of the groups listed above, you will get a sneak peek two weeks before each challenge. Challenge #5, on September 5, is a sketch challenge.

Challenges that I have entered are:
Paper Playtime – Anything Goes
Polly Craft Challenge – Distressing
One Stitch at a Time – Anything Goes
365 Cards – Thirty Minutes or less

Thanks for stopping by again! If you have any questions don’t hesitate contacting me.

P.S. Beginning with the GHWI September 5th challenge you MUST us an {ippity} or Unity stamp.

Sweet Pea Stamps Project No. 2

Happy Monday!

Below is my second project as a guest designer at Sweet Pea Stamps for August. This has been so much fun! Go check out the store. The Sweet Pea Stamps designers (one talented group of artists, if I say so myself) have their own blog, and In a Sweet Pea Dream is the challenge blog. Go check them out, some wonderful eye candy and prizes.

My project is Teresa Sherman’s Steampunk Fairy. I have never attempted to create anything with a Steampunk theme, but I must say I surprised myself, so muchso, that I plan on experimenting with Steampunk and a little Goth.
I colored her, not with Copics, but my PrismaColor pencils. Somehow she looked right for that feeling that these pencils create. For my background paper I used some Steampunk digital paper created by Teresa Sherman, artist of the Steampunk Fairy. Her online store, Delicious Doodles, has most of her images and several digital papers. The cardstock is all from Stampin’ Up. I found some of the most wonderful dies at Cheery Lynn Designs. This store may be old news to some of you, but it is so new to me. The die I used to try and get some more metal objects is the Italian Flourish Doily. I also used Tea Dye and Black Soot Distress Inks for the border around the image.

Challenges that I am entering are:
Dream Valley Challenges – Distressing
One Stitch at a Time – Anything goes
Mark’s Finest Papers – Distressing
(Note: For all my challenges I use Feline Playful's site.)

That’s it for today. Next Monday will be my No. 3 project and my last one in August for Sweet Pea Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate contacting me.

New releases for {ippity}!

Yep, two new releases for the month of August! And, here they are…

This first one, Make Your Mark, will probably be one of my favorites. Below the stamp set is my creation that I completed with Make Your Mark and for the Get Hippity with {ippity} group Challenge #4. You can find all the details for my project here.

The second one is Loads of Love. This is so cute. I can think of “loads” of projects using this set. (Sorry, had to do it!)

Now, if you join our group GHWI  at The Latte Lounge and participate in our Challenge #4, you have a chance to win one of these new sets, or a set from my {ippity} Sales Blog.

We have also started a Yahoo group, Get Hippity with Ippity. You all are invited to join. I check for membership approvals two to three times a day. This little group was formed so we can have a “group” email. A monthly contest is also planned for this group, along with a few changes that are going to happen in September for the Get Hippity with Ippity blog.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you all again!

GHWI Challenge #4

It’s that time again for another Get Hippity with {ippity} challenge. No. 4 is easy peasy.

This time we are doing a COLOR COMBO. You are to use three or more colors that you see in the inspiration card. This project was created by Angie Blom, a designer with Unity Stamp Co. She was kind enough to grant us permission (I will keep that in mind for future reference, Angie!) to use her design. I picked this particular creation because of all the bright colors, and there are definitely more than three colors for you to choose from.

Angie’s inspiration piece:

The rules…
•You DO NOT have to use an {ippity} or Unity stamp, but if you do, you are entered in the drawing twice. (We use the “random generator thingy.”) DO let us know what stamp set you used in your project.
•You need to stay with the current theme. You can create any project you like, card, ATC, tags, layouts, mixed–media, altered art, etc.
•You can enter just once.
•You need to post here in the discussion area at GHWI and in your TLL gallery.
•When posting to your gallery on TLL use the key/tag IPPITY#4. If you post other places on the web, please use GHWI#4.
•Come visit the Design Team’s blog and do a follow. We really like follows! http://hippitywithippity.blogspot.com/
•You will also need to HAVE FUN! That’s what we are here for.

If you follow all the guidelines, your prize is an {ippity} stamp set of your choice!

Now for my little piece of art:
I wanted to keep this simple and clean, but I could not help but pile on the layers. This is a wonderful stamp set to work with. After taking a good hard look at the set, ideas began to flow.

Details for my project:
Stamp set: it is an {ippity}, but it is one of the new August releases. You will have to wait on my blog posting on Aug. 5. Sorry!
Copics: bg10, 18; r20, 22, 29; y35, 38
PrismaColor pencils: canary yellow, deco yellow, goldenrod, Spanish orange.
DP: from my stash, really scraps. I did purchase it from Hobby Lobby.
CS: SU in basic black and summer sun; Cryogen 80#
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Distress Tea Stain
Dies: Spellbinders diamonds and squares

Challenges for my card:
Craft Us Crazy – anything goes
(NOTE: I browse Feline Playful for all my challenges.)

That’s it for today. Come on over to The Latte Lounge and join our No. 4 challenge at Get Hippity with Ippity/Join the Unity Community. I hope to see you there!

Have a great week! Thank you, Angie!
