I Have Bragging Rights!

My bragging rights are for my Get Hippity with {ippity} Design Team. I think that everyone of them have gone above and beyond the call of duty in some way. With that said, it is my pleasure to bring to you spotlights of their little pieces of art. For this beautiful Thursday, I am spotlighting three GHWI Design Team members.

KristyLee will be the first spotlight. She has created two beautiful cards for GHWI Challenge #17 “Things with Wings.” The {ippity} sets KristyLee created with are “What Matters Most,” Regal Greetings,” and “Music of My Heart.” Take a look at her blog, “KristyLee’s World.” Kristy is amazing in her creativity! She keeps churning out projects left and right.

Melissa did double duty this challenge. Beth, who would have been spotlighted, is ill. Get better real soon Beth, we miss you! With Beth’s absence, Melissa stepped in. Melissa mentioned that her mojo hasn’t been there, but I have to disagree. Her colors and layout on her art is gorgeous. The {ippity} sets Melissa used are “Friends + Flowers = Priceless” and “Now and Always.” Melissa’s “My Many Journeys” showcases all her ippity goodness!

Pam has created one of the sunniest farm related cards I have seen in a long time. Her choice of colors depict what a morning on the farm feels like. You may be ready for bed after doing all the chores, but the mornings are precious. Pam created using the {ippity} set “Farm Fresh.” Want to learn more about Pam? Take a visit to her blog “Crazy Stamper.”

Unity is having a 40% off sale this weekend, so if you want any of these {ippity} sets, or you just want some {ippity} with your Unity, pick me, Aletha J. Williams (I’m on the bottom row), as your {ippity} Chick and go shopping. I also have a few {ippity} sets for purchase on my {ippity} blog. You can see the most recent {ippity} releases there also.

Just a few FYIs, we have another new {ippity} release and a blog hop on April 12. So get ready to win some ippity goodness. We at GHWI will have Challenge #18 up and running on Monday, April 2. This will be a color combo challenge. I hope to see you all at both events.

Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions, or need some {ippity}, just contact me.

GHWI Design Team’s Things with Wings

Good evening everyone! Tonight I wanted to show you three more beautiful projects completed by a few of my Get Hippity with {ippity} (GHWI) Design Team members. These little pieces of art are for our current challenge “Things with Wings” at the GHWI Challenge Blog. The deadline is March 31, and we hope to see your art too. “Things with Wings” is a popular theme right now, so there should be no excuse.

First spotlight is on Melissa. Melissa chose to use “All things are POSSIBLE” {ippity} stamp set.

Julia is our second team member to be spotlighted. She chose two {ippity} sets “Now and Always” and “Fall for You.”

Our last spotlight for today goes to Jen. Jen also chose two {ippity} sets “Quotes a’la Happy” and “The Best.”

When you get a moment, go check out their blogs, do a follow, and leave some love.

CCCB’s Week 3 Ribbons and/or Lace

Happy Wednesday and welcome to our third week in The Crafter’s Café Challenge Blog (CCCB) challenge #2. Our theme this month is “Ribbon and/or Lace.”

Digital Delights by Louby Loo is our sponsor and the prize is a $10 gift voucher. Wait until you take a trip to Wendy’s store and see all the delightful images you can work with. It will not be a very each choice.

For my project I chose Angel Donita to work with and she was a lot of fun. Donita is suppose to be an angel, but I think she looks a little mischievous. I colored her with my Letraset AquaMarkers and Prismacolor watercolor pencils. I added a little sparkle to her wings with Stickles in Chrystal. The Spellbinder’s dies I used for her background is the Wavy Rectangles, the other is the classic circles. I’ve added Concord Grape Distress Ink and Stickles to the edge of the circles. I’ve also cut with the Crisp Bows from Memory Box and the butterflies from Marianna Creatables. All the little white dot embellishments were created using the Sharpie White Paint Pen (love this pen!). My cardstock is from Stampin’ Up! (of course) in Elegant Eggplant and Whisper White. The background designer paper is Sweet Fairy Collection from Prima.

I hope you join us for our 2nd challenge at CCCB. After you enter, go take a look at The Crafter’s Café and check out all the challenges and designer groups we have, there is something going on every single day.

The challenges that Angel Donita is being entered are:
Craft Room Challenge – Bling and Glitter/Sparkle
House of Gilli – Spring

Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions don’t hesitate asking.

GHWI #17 – Things with Wings

We are starting our 17th Challenge over at the Get Hippity with {ippity} Challenge Blog. This one will be easy peasy! We want to see “anything with wings” and you can interpret that however you want. You can create cards, something altered, scrapbooking pages, alternative art, anything you want, etc., but we must be able to see wings somewhere on your project.

Here is my latest creation using one of {ippity}’s new releases “Dream a Little Dream.” This image, as were all the images for {ippity}’s March release, was designed by Tracey Malnofski, Artista for Unity. This stamp is a good size to work with. So you can get some idea how big the main image is, my card is 5¾” square. My “Things with Wings” is the beautiful butterfly from a die designed by Cheery Lynn Designs, Small Lace Faerie Queen. This is the first time I used it and it is beautiful!
Other supplies that I used:
•Coloring: Copics, Spicas;
•Perfect Pearls Mist in Perfect Pearl;
•Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black and Frayed Burlap DI;
•DP: Desert Blooms collection from First Edition;
•CS: Kraft, Mellow Moss, Rose Red, and Soft Suede from SU;
•Embellishments: my stash.

Did you know…we have a group, Get Hippity with {ippity}/Join the Unity Community, at The Crafter’s Café? We have a monthly card game and the prize is a six (6) piece grab bag of {ippity} and/or Unity goodness.

Did you know…we have a brand new group, Get Hippity with {ippity}, on Facebook? Come join us and share your love of {ippity} and Unity!

Did you know…that you can order {ippity} and Unity at the same time? You can pick me, Aletha J. Williams (I’m in the bottom row), as your {ippity} Chick, order some {ippity} and then some Unity. I would appreciate it tremendously! You can also visit my {ippity} sales blog to view the latest releases, or purchase {ippity} sets that I do have in stock.

I hope you join us for GHWI’s Challenge #17, Things with Wings. If you have any questions, please contact me. Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome to Crafting By Designs Blog Hop!

I hope you all are having fun hopping along and seeing all the wonderful little pieces of art created for Crafting by Designs (CBD) blog hop. If you have come from Rene’s blog, Life in the Craft Lane, you are in the right spot. Do you think you are lost? If you have the sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach, then head over to Doris’s blog, Mom’s Been Scrappin’. That’s the very first blog in the hopping lane. You can also visit CBD’s site to see the line up.

We have a package of goodies that one blog hopper could win. What do you have to do? You need to leave a comment with an email address on each blog that you hop too. The winner will be announced on Tuesday after Random.org lets us know who won. Easy peasy. I know that the blog hop participants like followers too.

Along with this CBD Blog Hop, we have a fun challenge for you to enter. The challenge theme is “Wings and/or Blooms.” You are invited to join in with this challenge at the CBD's site. We want to see anything you want to create, but you must have wings or blooms, or both, on your project.

My project is a card using a new {ippity} stamp set “Be Brave, Branch Out.” This time around I colored with my Prismacolor pencils, and not my Copics. I really like the way everything melded together. I usually pick my DP first, and that would dictate my colors, but I colored first and then looked for paper. Turquoise and oranges/reds are becoming one of my favorite color combos.

Supplies used: Color: Prismacolor pencils, Spicas, opaque white pen. Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black; DI in Black Soot, Mustard Seed, Spice Marmalade. DP: Crate Paper Farmhouse Collection. CS: SU in Basic Black and Kraft. Dies: Exotic Butterflies Small from Cheery Lynn Designs; Madera Corner from Memory Box; Blossom Four from Spellbinders.

Challenges I am entering:
Crafty Sentiments – Things with Wings
Winged things, Things that Fly, Things in the Air
Craft Room Challenge – Vintage Shabby
Little Darlings Challenges – Colors of Spring

Your next stop on this “Wings and Blooms” blog hop is Tammy Martinez’s blog, Whimsically Me. Thanks so much for stopping by. I look forward to all your comments. Have fun!

Next is Pam, Crazy Stamper. Pam has picked the perfect {ippity} stamp set and Spring colors for her project. The set she chose is “Sweet Thoughts of Spring.”

More GHWI Design Team Inspiration for Challenge #16

It’s Tuesday and time for me to show off some more little pieces of art created by two more members of my Get Hippity with {ippity} Design Team for our GHWI Sketch Challenge #16.

First is Rhonda Miller. Everything about Rhonda’s project is beautiful, the papers and the combination of those two stamps. The set she created with is Fall for You.

Next is Kristy Lee. Kristy has completed two projects with the Cuppy Cakes stamp set. I think she likes it. The colors she chose to use for this card are perfect for cup cakes. I also think she is ready for St. Patty's.
