Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is here finally. This has
been a long week. I think that I am anticipating spring is going to be around
the corner, but it’s not quite here in Oklahoma.
We have a new showcase for you at the Aurora Wings Showcase Blog.
For this posting, Mitzi Sato-Wiuff, artist and owner of Aurora Wings, has designed two
brand new images for the Showcase Designers to create with.
The first one that I am showcasing is Edamame Sprite. Mitzi’s
little sprites are some of my favorite images to color and use in projects.
The very first thing that I did was color Edamame Sprite
with Copics. I have started making my background a little different. I do some
streaking with a couple of colors and then come back with dabbed alcohol to
make the splotches. I am still learning this technique from an online video that I watch all the time.
Skin: E000, 00, 04, 11, 21, R20;
Sprite: G20, 21, 24, 28, 29, and

Baby Peas: G20, 21, 24, R20;
Background: W5, B32, 34, alcohol.

Our next cutie is a new addition to Mitzi’s mer-boys and
mer-girls line. Meet Little Pirate. He was a joy to color with Copics and adding
accents with glitter pens. This is also going to be a baby shower card that
goes to my soon-to-be GREAT grandson. Yep, you heard right, I did say GREAT.

Very sweet, Aletha and I love the backgrounds. I've been dabbling a bit in Unky's technique as well. Kinda fun and different. I sure enjoyed joining you gals today on the Showcase Blog. Fabulous work. xxD
