Hello again! This week is what Sweet Pea Stamps (SPS) calls
Variation Week. Each SPS Design Team member is given the same image to create
something in our own style of design. I love looking at all the artist’s
different styles. You receive so much inspiration from each one.
Our image this week is “Red, White, and Blue” by KarenMiddleton. This darling little girl is available in Sweet Pea Stamps online
shop. You can search for Plate #161. There are a couple of other amazing images
on that plate too.
I did color her with my Copics, but added some highlights
with a white gel pen. Just a touch of Stickles on the stars added the much needed sparkle. I die cut the image with Spellbinder’s Labels Twenty-Five, and cut the
label again on cardstock. These two die cuts were mounted together with the
bottom one offset just a smidge. My swirls are from a Magnolia die. I cut out a
few stars that I drew and added Stickles to them also. The rhinestones and
designer paper are from my stash. I did distress in a few places with Faded
Jeans Distress Ink.
Copics used:
Skin: E000, 11, BV000
Hair: E11, 33, 50
Skirt: B21, 24, 26, 28
Socks: B000, 02, 05, R20, 22, 24, 29, 89
Shirt: B000, 02, 05
Boots and Satchel: E15, 18, 25
Stars: Y13, 19
Background: W00, 1, 3, Y13
Don’t forget about One Sweet Challenge. The theme is to use
buttons and ribbons as embellishments. You can use any stamp you want, rubber
or digi, but for the “larger” prize you must use an SPS image
Thanks for stopping by! Check back every day this week and be
inspired.

Aletha, this is lovely. I love the shadowing around the image. It makes it feel very magical. I've always loved this time of the month on Sweet Pea Stamps for the Variations Week. It's amazing to see how cards/creations differ so much using the same image. Take care, Kym xxx
