I hope this finds everyone well and being creative. It is StampNation’s 3rd Birthday Bash. It begins today and runs through Jan. 17. Each day there will be challenges and PRIZES, yes, you heard right, PRIZES from different sponsors. If you haven’t joined StampNation, this is the time to do it. The inspiration is never ending.
The challenge for Day One is to create something with a
birthday icon. For my little piece of art I chose a digital image from LacySunshine, Cupcake Sticky Wings. What better birthday icon than a fairy sitting
on top of a cupcake. I would take that any day.
Cupcake was colored with Copics with a little accenting from
a clear Wink of Stella Brush Glitter Marker. After the coloring I trimmed her
with Spellbinder’s Label One die. I cut another piece with the same die but in
Stampin’ Up!’s Rich Razzelberry cardstock. I then layered Cupcake on top of
this cut.
Skin: E000, 00, 11, R02

My designer paper is Stampin’ Up!’s Petals and Paisleys
collection. This was trimmed to size and distressed with Gathered Twigs
Distress Ink. My layering sandwich was more Rich Razzelberry and I added Old Olive
cardstock.
For my embellishments I used some Spellbinder’s Die D-Lites
Blooms One. My little sprigs are another D-Lites die Corner Sprigs. I found the
ribbon in my stash (so glad I kept this), and tied the bow and added the Happy
Birthday sentiment from Cindy Echtinaw’s new clear stamp set “Big & SmallSays it All.” I love all of Cindy’s stamps. The majority of her stamps are
designed for Spellbinder’s dies. After the stamping, I cut Happy Birthday with
the D-Lites die Petite Label One. I think I am going to be using the D-Lites
dies a lot. That die cut was glued to my bow.
I hope that you do take a visit to StampNation and join us
for our festivities. You won't want to miss it. Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions, please
contact me.
