Angels Among Us

I hope that everyone has had a great weekend. I was able to find some time in my studio and finally created an art card. I love creating cards of all kinds, but mostly the ones that can be given as a gift.

The image that I used is designed by my very dear friend Cindy Echtinaw of Cindy Echtinaw Designs. I would like to introduce you to Lindsay Fancy Dress, one of the Angel Wings series. You can find her in digital format (which is what I used), or as a red rubber stamp at Angel Wings Rubber Stamps.

I colored Lindsay with Copics and added some clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Markers. Lindsay was fussy cut and layered on some pearl cardstock (from my stash) die cut with Spellbinder’s Labels 34. That die cut was distressed with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. After the ink was dry I layered again with the pearl cardstock die cut with Spellbinder’s Decorative Labels 34. The next to last layer is die cut from Stampin’ Up’s Pretty in Pink cardstock with Decorative Labels 34. The last layer is cut with the pearl cardstock and Labels 34. For this to be a simple design, I do have a lot of layers going on.

Copics used:

Skin: E000, 00, 04, 11, 21, and R20

Dress: RV11, R81, 83, 85, 89

Hair: E31, 33, 35, 37, 39

Wings: C00, 0, 1, 2, 3, and RV11

The card base is more of the pearl and Pretty in Pink cardstock. The designer paper is BasicGrey’s Sweet Threads. I love this paper pad! I have used every piece at least once. It’s on sale at StampingScrapping! Don’t miss this great price. I distressed the edges and added Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. The last embellishments are corners from Spellbinder’s Lace Hearts and Flamingo Liquid Pearls.
