Variations Week at SPS with Conie Fong

I hope everyone is having a great week. Are you ready for Halloween? After viewing Sweet Pea Stamps (SPS) Design Team blog you will definitely be in the mood.

It’s variations week at Sweet Pea Stamps and one of Conie Fong’s cute images was chosen. My project is a 5¾” finished card with “Priscilla,” designed by Conie Fong, as the main image. You can purchase this cutest of witches in digital format or as a rubber stamp, whichever one is your preference.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, 11, R20
Hair: Y21, E39, 57, 97, 99
Cat, Hat, and Shoes: C00, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9
Dress, Ribbon, and Hat Bands:
V20, 22, 25, 28, and
YG13, 17, 21, 25, 67, and
YR00, 12, 15, 16, 18
Broom: E41, 43, 44, 47, 49
Background: W0, 1, 2, YG21, YR00

After Priscilla was fussy cut, I then mounted her on my second print out, which was die cut with Spellbinder’s Wavy Rectangles.  Those two elements were then mounted on the largest wavy rectangle in Stampin’ Up!’s (SU) Only Orange cardstock.

I really had some fun with this one. First my base is composed of more of the only orange cardstock and SU Witch’s Brew designer paper.

I used several dies to complete my base for Priscilla. My corner dies are from Memory Box Small & Creepy Web Frame. I cut the webs off the frame, added some glitter, and parked them in my left corners. See those little bats? Those are die cuts, itty bitty die cut bats, from Memory Box “Bunches of Bats.” I am going to get a lot of mileage out of the die. I added Cheery Lynn’s Fanciful Flourish to get a little more green in the mix. The flowers are from my stash.

Purr-fection Always!

Happy Friday! Are you ready for Challenge #20 at DeliciousDoodles? We have a spectacular one and perfect for this winter season. Our theme for this week’s challenge is “All You Need is LOVE,” just in time for Valentine’s Day too.

We want to see any kind of project, but it must have the theme of LOVE. We would LOVE to see you use some of Teri’s beautiful images, but it is not necessary. If you do use a Delicious Doodles image, you can enter twice and you will be spotlighted next week.

For my Delicious Doodles inspiration I colored on of my favorite DD images, “Just Purr-fect.” I am a cat lover and this beautiful image spoke to me.

My art card is very clean and simple, or very clean and simple for me. “Just Purr-fect” was colored with Copics and then layered on red and white cardstock. The designer paper is from my stash, as is my one flower and ribbon. My one die cut is a butterfly from Spellbinder’s Les Papillion’s, another favorite die.  I used a little Stickles on the flower and butterfly. See, I told you…”clean and simple.”

I would like to enter “Just Purr-fect” in the following challenges:
Crafter's Digital Art Center - Anything Goes
Whimsical Designs – All about Love
The Paper Shelter – Anything Goes
Digi Stamps 4 Joy – Anything Goes
Craft Us Crazy – Love or Are You Seeing the Color Red

I also wanted to take a moment to let you know that Teri has created some wonderful new Gothic papers, frame, and corners. This is a sample of the Gothic Papers, just gorgeous, if I say so myself.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you join us at Delicious Doodles for Challenge #20. After you enter, head on over to our Facebook group and our CDAC group, and show us your little piece of art.

Winter in White at Sparkle & Glitter

Have you been enjoying Rick St. Dennis “13 Day of Creepmas” blog hop? During this blog hop Rick has created many new images. You could win some of those images. If you have not started the hop, please start at Rick’s blog “Airless Chambers.”

Now let’s get on with our Challenge #5 at Sparkle andGlitter with Rick. We have another fun one for you! Our theme is “Winter inWhite.” With the unseasonably warm weather, I think that the majority of the United States is ready for a little colder weather. I did say “a little colder.” We want to see any piece of art that you want to create, but the theme must be visible. We want to see plenty of white on your project. Your deadline is Dec. 20. Take some time out from your busy schedule, relax, create something white, and join us for our 5th Challenge “Winter in White.”

I created a winter card using Rick’s image “Isabella MakingSnow Friends.” This is my first time coloring one of Rick’s Isabella images. I think that I need more. This little girl is one of the cutest and so much fun to color.

I have used Copics and Spica pens for most of my coloring. I have accented the borders and dies cuts with Distress Ink in Stormy Sky. I have added die cuts and crystals to help with the winter in white feel.

My list of supplies are:
Copics: e000, 11; r20; c000, 0, 1, 2; b0000, 91, 95, 97, 99.
Dies: Spellbinder’s Create-A-Flake 3, Fleur De Lis Rectangles; Memory Box Frosty Border.
Ink: Stormy Sky Distress Ink.
Cardstock: Stampin’ Up Night of Navy; Neenah white.
Isabella is going to be entered in the following challenges:
Addicted to Stamps & More – Use Markers
Crafts & Me – Anything Goes
Divas by Design – Snow
Simon Says Stamp – Snowflakes

Thanks for stopping by. Contact me if you have any questions. Have a fantastic weekend!
