Merry Christmas and a little Midnight Madness

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

I thought the title for my post was appropriate. Were you not shopping at midnight for all the Black Friday deals? I wasn’t, but I know that my darling daughter was. They just bought a house in town (they have lived in the boonies for years) and they need some new appliances. So, congratulations, Scott and Heidi, on your new home and surviving the mobs. I will pat anyone on the back who survived the throng. LOL I shopped online.:)

This will probably be my last Christmas card for the season. There’s just a few more weeks and it’s that time of year again! This year has passed so fast!

On to my project! I am entering this in the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #81

The digital image that I have chosen is from Priscilla Styles “Merry Christmas wreath.”  Please visit Priscilla’s store for some beautiful and vintage style digital images.

My recipe for my piece of art is:
Copics used:

Other: The DP is from Webster Pages 6”x6” combo pack Waiting for Santa and Sweet Season. The cardstock used is from SU in Always Artichoke and Cranberry Crisp. The digi was printed on Cryogen Iridescent 80# (this is the best stock for your Copics). The dies are Spellbinders Nestabilities in Lacey Squares and Large Squares. The accents I have used (which really do not show in the photo) are Spicas, Gelly Roll pens, and Craft-T Chalks. The petals were created using a Magnolia DooHickey Poinsettia die. I also used backstitching (first time, for me, on a card) with gold thread for more embellishment.

Here’s just a few more challenges that I have entered:
Cards for Men: Christmas Cards
Artful Inkables: All about punches or dies
Christmas Stamping’ All Year Long: anything goes
Beary Sweet Challenge #14: Anything goes

That’s about it for now. OU and OSU are playing tonight. I’m not that big of fan of football, until this game. It can get stressful because I want to cheer for both teams. LOL

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate contacting me at ajsdesigns@cox.net.
