{ippity} and The Stamping Boutique

Welcome to the last day of the weekend! I finally got a little studio time the past two days (a little each day). When that happens, I count my blessings. I am finding out that running an online business means a lot of computer time. No complaints, really. I am totally enjoying selling the {ippity} brand and I am making new friends everyday.

For my project I have combined a digi stamp and a rubber stamp. I’m so happy when I can combine the two. These two images complimented each other completely. The digi is from The Stamping Boutique, titled Flowers-1. The {ippity} stamp set that I used is from the set “thankful for YOU.” The dragonflies fit perfect with Tracey’s illustration.

I colored the flower image with my Copics. The dragonflies stamp is stamped with SU Basic Black Craft ink and then embossed with opalescent powder. I have used the circles dies from Spellbinders and the Italian Flourish Doily from Cheery Lynn Designs.

The challenges that I am entering are:
All things Unity #38 – Anything goes
Pattie’s Creations Challenge #28 – Animals or insects

I also wanted to invited you all to our Get Hippity with {ippity} (GHWI) group at The Crafter’s CafĂ©. This little group is where we learn all about {ippity} and Unity stamps, new releases, and challenges. On September 5 we are opening up the DT’s blog as the place for challenges. If you join our GHWI group, you will learn about the challenges two weeks in advance. Please come by and check things out. I think you’ll like it there.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate contacting me.

Sweet Pea Stamps Project No. 2

Happy Monday!

Below is my second project as a guest designer at Sweet Pea Stamps for August. This has been so much fun! Go check out the store. The Sweet Pea Stamps designers (one talented group of artists, if I say so myself) have their own blog, and In a Sweet Pea Dream is the challenge blog. Go check them out, some wonderful eye candy and prizes.

My project is Teresa Sherman’s Steampunk Fairy. I have never attempted to create anything with a Steampunk theme, but I must say I surprised myself, so muchso, that I plan on experimenting with Steampunk and a little Goth.
I colored her, not with Copics, but my PrismaColor pencils. Somehow she looked right for that feeling that these pencils create. For my background paper I used some Steampunk digital paper created by Teresa Sherman, artist of the Steampunk Fairy. Her online store, Delicious Doodles, has most of her images and several digital papers. The cardstock is all from Stampin’ Up. I found some of the most wonderful dies at Cheery Lynn Designs. This store may be old news to some of you, but it is so new to me. The die I used to try and get some more metal objects is the Italian Flourish Doily. I also used Tea Dye and Black Soot Distress Inks for the border around the image.

Challenges that I am entering are:
Dream Valley Challenges – Distressing
One Stitch at a Time – Anything goes
Mark’s Finest Papers – Distressing
(Note: For all my challenges I use Feline Playful's site.)

That’s it for today. Next Monday will be my No. 3 project and my last one in August for Sweet Pea Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate contacting me.
