The Get Hippity with Ippity (GHWI) Design Team has Challenge No 10 ready for you. This challenge starts Monday, November 21 and ends Saturday, December 3. GHWI Challenge No. 10 is all about EMBOSSING. We want to see whatever you want to create, but it must have some form of embossing included. It can be wet, dry, or faux embossing.
I have three Christmas cards completed for this challenge. For all three projects I used Cuttlebug’s embossing folder collection Winter Wonderland.
My first card is “Joy.” I used “Gingham Christmas Greetings” for the wet embossing. I used SU’s Crafters ink in Always Artichoke and heat embossed with opalescent embossing powder. After I dry embossed the background I lightly covered the embossed areas with SU’s Whisper White Crafters ink and heat embossed with opalescent powder.
This second one “sending Hope and Love” is dry embossing only. The die cut dry embossing was covered with DI in Festive Berries and then sprayed with Pearl Perfect Pearls. The Ippity stamp sets I used are “Kissmas and Mistletoe” and “ALL thing are POSSIBLE.”
My last Christmas card “Peace” is all dry embossing. The dry embossing is the background. After embossing in my Grand Calibur I used DI in Faded Jeans and Iced Spruce and then sprayed with Pearl Glimmer Mist. The Ippity stamp set is “Kissmas and Mistletoe.”
I am looking forward to seeing all your pieces of art over at our GHWI Challenge Blog.
For everyone in the United States, I wish everyone a safe and blessed Thanksgiving! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate contacting me. Thanks for stopping by!
