I hope everyone in the United States had a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving. We did not get to see our children or grandchildren this time around, but my Mom still had a houseful. I think that we all stuffed ourselves silly, and we were all definitely thankful that we had the opportunity to do so. We are also thankful that we had each other. I have several friends that have lost children or other loved ones in the past year and my heart went out to them today. Thinking about them, the upcoming holidays, and what I still have, I know that I am truly blessed.
And now for play time! We have a new challenge, and our last for November, at The Outlawz Challenge. The theme at the Copic/ProMarkers Challenge group is “Anything Goes.” We would like to see any kind of artwork your heart desires, be it cards, collage, woodworking, scrapbooking, ATCs, etc., but you must use Copics, ProMarkers, or any other alcohol markers.
I decided on a digi stamp from A Day for Daisies. This little fairy is “Morning Dew,” and of course, she is colored with my Copics. I did accent her with a Sakura Gelly Roll pen in Clear Star. The sentiment, “New Beginning,” is from the Ippity stamp set “The Simple Things.”
Morning Dew Fairy is surrounded by die cuts. The side die cuts are Memory Box’s Madera Corner. The top and bottom dies are Spellbinder’s Ironwork Motifs and Fancy Tags.
When a rubber and digi stamp really speaks to me I usually color that image first. When that happens, I rarely find designer papers to match. I either make my own background paper or use just cardstock. The Stampin' Up! cardstock I used is Pixie Pink and Handsome Hunter. I don’t know if you can see it our not, but the Pixie Pink cardstock behind the Morning Dew Fairy is dry embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
That's it for now. I hope you all have a great weekend. If you have any questions, please contact me.
Thanks for stopping by!
