Variations Week with Conie Fong at SPS

This week the Sweet Pea Design (SPS) is showing you different styles of art using Conie Fong’s “Mother with Baby Boy,” or “Mother with Baby Girl.” I chose “Mother with Baby Boy” in digital form. If you are a rubber stamp fanatic (I mean that in the good sense), Conie’s images are also available rubber.

I am dedicating this blog post to our amazing son and daughter-in-law, Wes and Bonnie, who are blessing us with another grandson sometime in November. This will be our third grandson and their first child. Congratulations you two! Maybe this one will be a U.S. President in 2047. No pressure though.  I am sure that you two will make perfect parents.

Here is my little piece of art using “Mother with Baby Boy.”

and B91, B93, B95, B97

After I finished coloring the image I used Spellbinder’sclassic ovals to cut it out. I distressed a little and then added Distress Ink in Gathered Twigs and Chipped Sapphire. My background die, Spellbinder’s A2Filigree Delight, is gorgeous. I think this will be one of my favorites. Before I layered the image one, I distressed it with Viva Décor White 3-D Stamp Paint. I am loving this stuff. I just order a few of the metallic colors. I can’t wait to play. It really is easy to use and dries quickly.

Another touch was a Memory Box die, Amira Flourish, cut in-half. The designer paper, flowers, and pearls are all from my stash.
