Well, as you can see, I have not blogged since April. I am trying to remedy that. I and my mother had some family issues and I was trying to keep myself available when she needed me. Now most of the decks are cleared and I am ready to color and create.

My first blog for September is a Copic and PanPastels image. Introducing "Sammi Boo Can Levitate." I love Heather Valentin’s images and this one is no exception. New Release at Aurora Wings

 Mitzi has done is again! She has wowed us with another amazing digital image, Owl Spirit, ready for your creativity in her Etsy Store. Owl Spirit is an image I thourghly enjoyed coloring with Copics. I’ve got to admit that all of Aurora Wings images are a joy to color.

For a Special Lady at Dilly Beans

It’s almost the weekend and what better way to start your weekend than being creative. We have a new challenge at Dilly Beans Challenge Blog. Our theme for the next two weeks is “For a Special Lady.” To enter you must use a Dilly Beans Stamps image. Why wouldn’t you want to use a Dilly Bean’s image? Megan has the perfect digital images, be it funny, big eye art, or creepy.

For my image I chose “Daisy Girl Framed.” I have colored her with Copics and added little accenting with Pink Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Markers. I also used Clear Wink of Stella Giller markers on the yellow roses.

Hair: C1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 100 Black

Daisies: R81, 83, 85, 89

Roses: Y11, 15, 17, and E31, 33

My designer paper is from Flying Unicorn (I love their kits!). The finished layers are Stampin’ Up!’s cardstock in Basic Black and Certain Celery. The butterly rub ons are Kaiser Kraft and the flowers are from my stash, as is the butterfly charm.

She Has Flowers in Her Hair

It’s challenge time at Dilly Beans. Our challenge theme for the next two weeks is “Flowerful.”  We want to see a lot of flowers. This theme is perfect now that spring is finally arriving. Remember you must use a Dilly Beans digi stamp to be entered in the challenge. Why wouldn’t you want to create with a Dilly Beans image?

For my project I decided on Raine. She is another one of my Dilly Beans favorite. I love coloring all that hair. I colored with Copics and accented just a little with a white gel pen, and glitter pens. My designer paper and cardstocks in Rich Razzelberry and Old Olive are from Stampin’ Up!

Dress & Flowers: R81, 83, 85, 89

Leaves & Eyes: G82, 85, 99

I kept my die cuts pretty simple. I cut the image with Spellbinder’s Large Circle die.  My corners we made using Spellbinder’s Die D-Lites Corner Sprigs. I do recommend using wax paper with this die. The wax paper helps with removing the cut paper from the die. All my flowers, and there’s a lot of flowers, are from my stash, some are from Prima, Spare Parts, and Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Challenge time with Dilly Beans

Are you all ready for the next challenge with Dilly Beans? This next challenge is easy peasy, use “ribbon.” Remember that you must use a Dilly Beans image plus the ribbon on your little piece of art to enter. Your entry will be in the running for the prize of three digis of your choice.

For my project I chose “River Framed.” Isn’t she a lovely one? Those eyes and the flowers in her hair just say something about her personality. Before I started coloring with my Copics, I first picked out some designer paper from Basic Grey’s Out of Print collection. These papers were perfect for the colors that I felt River deserved. I cut them to size, distressed with Peacock Feather Distressed Ink, and finally mounted on Kraft cardstock and Stampin’ Up!’s  Taken with Teal.

My ribbon is from my stash, and luckily was the perfect color. My fun flowers were accomplished by using the four smallest dies from Spellbinder’s Rose Creations. I then got one of my favorite paints, Viva Décor 3-DStamp Paint, in lime green and covered the die cuts. After everything was dry, I shaped the flowers, assembled, placed them wherever, then added the teal flat backed pearls. Now my little piece art is complete.
